Paul McCartney's wife Heather Mills has given birth to a girl. Beatrice Milly McCartney, the couple's first child, was born Tuesday at a London hospital and weighed 7 pounds, her parents said in a statement.
"She is a little beauty. We couldn't be prouder," the 61-year-old former Beatle McCartney and Mills, 35, said, adding they were "ecstatic."
A spokeswoman for the Hospital of St. John and St. Elizabeth in London said Beatrice was born three weeks premature and delivered by Caesarean section.
Spokeswoman Claire Hornick said mom was doing "very well.'
The baby is Mills' first child. McCartney has three adult children _ Stella, Mary and James _ and a stepdaughter, Heather, from his marriage to first wife Linda McCartney, who died in 1998 from breast cancer.
The baby was named after Mills' late mother Beatrice and McCartney's aunt Milly, Hornick said.
Magician Horn moved
LOS ANGELES _ Siegfried and Roy illusionist Roy Horn has been transferred from Las Vegas' University Medical Center trauma unit to the UCLA Medical Center.
"This is the next step in the recovery process," said the magicians' spokesman, David Kirvin.
Kirvin declined to comment specifically on Horn's condition. The illusionist was mauled onstage by a tiger during an Oct. 3 performance at the Mirage Hotel and Casino, where the duo has been performing since 1990.
