CALLS BLOWN, SAINTS SAY

The NFL informed the Saints that officials made three incorrect calls in their 23-20 overtime loss to Carolina on Sunday, according to the New Orleans Times Picayune. Coaches said they were told by the league of the blown calls, all of which were costly to New Orleans.

49ERS: Defensive end Andre Carter is expected to miss Sunday's game against St. Louis with a bulging disc in his back.

GIANTS: Coach Jim Fassel was livid after practice ended with a sloppy two-minute drill on both sides. He spent several minutes yelling and gesturing at players on the practice field outside Giants Stadium.

RAIDERS: Cornerback Charles Woodson criticized coach Bill Callahan in an interview with ESPN. "I think that we have a coach with a very big ego," Woodson said. "You know what I mean and he's not listening to the veterans and that's what's sad about it." The defending AFC champions are 2-5.

SEAHAWKS: Defensive end Lamar King, a former first-round draft pick who hasn't played since Dec. 1, was activated and is expected to play Sunday against the Steelers. King had offseason surgery to repair a microfracture in his right knee.
