HONORABLE RABBIS: Six Pinellas rabbis will be honored by the Golda Meir/Kent Jewish Center with the 21st annual Humanitarian Award on Nov. 12 at Ruth Eckerd Hall. Awards will go to Rabbis Arthur Baseman of Temple B'nai Israel in Clearwater, Gary Klein of Temple Ahavat Shalom in Palm Harbor, Jacob Luski of Congregation B'nai Israel in St. Petersburg, Shimon Moch of Congregation B'nai Emmunah in Tarpon Springs, Michael Torop of Temple Beth El in St. Petersburg and David Weizman of Congregation Beth Shalom in Clearwater. Some past honorees include Nobel Prize laureate Elie Wiesel, Art Linkletter, Sen. Bob Graham, Mel Sembler and Florida Holocaust Museum founders Edith and Walter Loebenberg. The event will feature a comedian, Rabbi Bob Alper. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7. Reservations are required. The cost is $200 per person.
