The family of Cody Thompson would like to thank the members of the Red Hat Society groups in Sugarmill Woods for their combined contribution of $465.

Thanks to them, a fund has been set up for Cody and Family at Regions Bank in Inverness. Anyone wishing to contribute can do so at any Regions Bank office in Citrus County.

We also want to thank each and everyone who has contributed to this fund. Cody is doing well.

On behalf of the Friends of the Citrus County Library System Inc., I would like to thank the many individuals and organizations that helped make our Fall Book Sale in Inverness a huge success. We raised more than $18,000 that will help make Central Ridge, Coastal Region and Lakes Region libraries and the Citrus County Library System even better.

This was a tremendous community effort, and I'd like to thank the St. Petersburg Times (especially Bonnie Willette, Jorge Sanchez, and Mary Ann Koslasky of the Citrus Times) for its support publicizing our event, Pansy Cleaveland of Citrus County Parks and Recreation for her support at the Citrus County Auditorium, and Lori Corbin of Publix in Crystal River for donating plastic bags.

Heartfelt thanks go to everyone who helped move 650 banana boxes of books (that's 13 tons!) from our Book House in Hernando to the Citrus County Auditorium. Kudos to the "power lifter" volunteers from Progress Energy: Bryan Kenady, Jesse Watson, Keith Lofton, Michael Lofton, Rick Rogers, Rene Meade, Mary Meade, Eric Nowak, Victor Nadal, Thomas Cardona and Carla Groleau. Special thanks also go to Ernie Barr, Rotarian Doug Lobel, Warren Chase, and Kiwanis members Bart Bennett, Michael Carpenter, Chuck Cooper and Mark Rogers. Additional thanks go to Bryan Kenady and DuWayne Sipper of The Path of Citrus County for transporting book boxes.

We also thank the people of Citrus County for their generous book donations and shopping at the sale. In addition, many thanks go to all the Friends and family members for their great team effort.

Book House volunteers are already at work preparing for the Friends Spring Book Sale to be held April 2 through April 6 at the Citrus County Auditorium in Inverness.
