When you can water

These restrictions apply to the county's water customers in unincorporated areas and in Belleair Bluffs, Largo, Oldsmar, Safety Harbor, Seminole and Pinellas beach communities.

If you're a Pinellas County water customer using potable _ or drinking _ water to irrigate, you can water once a week, following this schedule:

Mondays: Addresses ending in the numbers 0 or 1, or letters A through E.

Tuesdays: Addresses ending in 2 or 3, or F-J.

Wednesdays: Addresses ending in 4 or 5, or K-O.

Thursdays: Addresses ending in 6 or 7, or P-S.

Fridays: Addresses ending in 8 or 9, or T-Z, or locations with unspecified or mixed addresses.

No potable watering is allowed between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday: No watering.

If you irrigate using a pond or a private well, follow this schedule:

Tuesday and/or Saturday: If your address ends in an even number or the letter A through M.

Sunday and/or Wednesday: If your address ends in an odd number or the letter N through Z, or unspecified or mixed address.

No pond or private-well watering is allowed between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

If you irrigate using reclaimed water, follow this schedule:

Sunday: Any reclaimed water user.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday: Odd-numbered addresses.

Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday: Even-numbered addresses.

The county asks that reclaimed-water users not irrigate between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

New lawns and plantings may be watered during a 60-day set-in period, but only during authorized hours and only on new planting areas.

Vehicles and boats can be washed at any time, but you must use a hose with a shutoff nozzle or water-restricting device.

Trees, shrubs, flower and vegetable gardens can be watered at any time, if you use a hose with a shutoff nozzle.

Fines range from $131 to $500.

Wednesdays and/or Sundays: Addresses ending in odd numbers, letters N-Z or properties with unspecified or mixed addresses.

No watering is allowed between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Newly installed lawns and plantings may be watered daily for 60 days, but only during authorized hours.

Trees, shrubs, flower and vegetable gardens can be hand watered as needed, if you use a hose with a shutoff nozzle or other water saving device.

Vehicles can be washed at any time, but a hose with a shutoff nozzle or other water efficient device must be used.

Insecticides, fungicides and herbicides can be watered in any day, but only during authorized watering hours.

Fertilizers can be watered in only on authorized days and watering hours.

Dunedin residents can water once a week with drinking water or private wells, following this schedule:

Tuesdays: Addresses ending in even numbers.

Fridays: Addresses ending in odd numbers or properties with unspecified or mixed addresses.

Watering hours for in-ground sprinkler systems is from midnight to 10 a.m..

Watering hours for manual hoses end sprinklers is from midnight to 10 a.m. or 4 p.m. to midnight.

Cars can be washed any time, but with a hand-held hose with a shutoff nozzle.

Rinsing of boats and flushing of boat engines is limited to 10 minutes once a day.

Newly installed lawns and landscaping can be watered daily for 30 days, but should be limited to the authorized hours.

Watering in of herbicides, fungicides or insecticides is not restricted, but should be limited to the minimum water necessary.

Watering in of fertilizers is permitted only on the days and times allowed for watering.
