Crystal is a longhaired white cat with green eyes. Her life was spared when Hernando County Animal Services brought her and her five white kittens to the SPCA shelter. While the coats of several of the kittens are changing colors, Crystal's coat remains pure white. Crystal is a sweet cat who would be loyal and true to whoever chooses her as a companion. Inquiries about adopting Crystal and other cats and dogs may be made at the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Hernando County, 9075 Grant St., west of Brooksville. The shelter is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day. Adoption fees include rabies shot, heartworm testing, worming and spaying/neutering. Fees for cats also include testing for feline leukemia and AIDS. The cost for dogs is $68; for cats, $58. The Web site is at www.petshelter.org. Call 596-7000.
