The top two teams and top individuals from each regional tournament advance to next week's state tournament.

Class 2A, Region 3

WHERE: Willowbrook Golf Club, Winter Haven

WHEN: Monday, 9 a.m.

TEAMS: Armwood, Cypress Creek, Orlando Dr. Phillips, Durant, Lakeland George Jenkins, Orlando Olympia, Riverview, Winter Park

OUTLOOK: Armwood and Durant will have to shoot extremely well to have any shot at advancing. The Orlando teams appear to be very strong.

Class 2A, Region 4

WHERE: Silver Dollar Golf Club, Tampa

WHEN: Monday, 8:30 a.m.

TEAMS: East Lake, Gaither, Mitchell, Palm Harbor University, Plant, Seminole, Sickles, Wharton

OUTLOOK: Plant reached the state tournament last year and should do it again. Plant's Mallory Parsons, Cindy LaCrosse and Gaither's Ashley Kemp should contend for individual title honors.

Class A, Region 5

WHERE: Sebring Municipal Golf Club

WHEN: Monday, 10:30 a.m.

TEAMS: Academy of the Holy Names, Berkley Prep, Clearwater Central Catholic, Hardee, Lake Wales, Mulberry, Sebring, Tampa Prep

OUTLOOK: Sebring, playing on its home course, may be too good to overcome. Berkeley Prep shot 402 to win the A, District 10 tournament, but coach Clay Thomas believes his Bucs need to shoot at least 15 strokes better at regionals to advance. He's probably right.

Class 2A, Region 3

WHERE: Windermere Golf Course, Orlando

WHEN: Tuesday, 8 a.m.

TEAMS: Bloomingdale, Durant, Orlando Dr. Phillips, Orlando Edgewater, Lakeland, Orlando Olympia, Plant City, Winter Park

OUTLOOK: Durant, Durant, Durant. The Cougars went 13-0 through the regular season and then backed that up by winning its district tournament last Monday. Durant, however, can take nothing for granted. Orlando Olympia, for one, is undefeated and is playing on its home course. When you factor in the other Orlando teams, plus Lakeland, this turns out to be one of the toughest regions in the state.

Class 2A, Region 4

WHERE: Cheval Golf Club, Tampa

WHEN: Monday, 8 a.m.

TEAMS: Chamberlain, East Lake, Palm Harbor University, Plant, Ridgewood, Seminole, Wesley Chapel, Wharton

OUTLOOK: For a Hillsborough County team to advance from this region it will have to get strong play from its entire team. Advancing certainly isn't out of the question, but all it will take is a couple of high scores and teams could be left out.

Class A, Region 5

WHERE: Harder Hall Golf Club, Sebring

WHEN: Monday, 9:30 a.m.

TEAMS: Berkeley Prep, Clearwater Central Catholic, Hardee, Jesuit, Lake Wales, Newsome, Sebring, Tampa Prep

OUTLOOK: As in the girls regional tournament held across the street from the boys, Sebring is the team to beat. Sebring, playing at home again, shot 283 to win its district tournament at Harder Hall. Berkeley Prep, which shot 298 at districts appears to be peaking at the right time and could very well move on. Bucs Sam Rosati, Dan Harari and John Stephens could contend for individual title honors.
