"Star Wars' gets animated

Leave it to the folks who bring you Dexter's Laboratory to put a cartoon spin on the Star Wars saga. Starting Friday, the Cartoon Network will begin airing Star Wars: Clone Wars, 20 animated shorts that pick up where the live-action Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones left off _ at the beginning of the Clone Wars. The first 10 chapters will debut each night at 8 before new episodes of Cartoon Network series. The next 10 episodes will debut in spring 2004. Genndy Tartakovsky, the mind behind Dexter's Laboratory and Samurai Jack, is leading the team at the network in conjunction with Lucasfilm Ltd. Look for all your favorite Star Wars characters, including Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, R2-D2 and C-3PO.

Tell your story and win
