As a band of storm clouds moves over Tampa Bay, Bill French of St. Petersburg struggles to bring in "something big" at the end of the dock at Bay Vista Park on Monday morning. After about an hour, he brought a 70-80 pound stingray to shore then let it go.
More rainy days are on the way. Thunderstorms are possible through the week, the result of moisture left over by a low pressure system that swept across Florida on Monday morning. It was that tropical moisture that led to Monday's rains around Tampa Bay and likely will bring more showers through the week, the National Weather Service said. Forecasters also are keeping an eye on the low pressure system, which moved into the Gulf of Mexico. A reconnaissance plane flew into the system Monday.
