BLAZERS

Bonzi Wells was fined an undisclosed amount by the team after making an obscene gesture to a fan in a loss to the 76ers. He also threw a towel and water bottle onto the court in frustration.

BUCKS: Forward Brian Skinner will have arthroscopic surgery to remove loose cartilage in his left knee and is expected to be sidelined up to six weeks.

CAVALIERS: Guard DaJuan Wagner had surgery on his right knee and could miss the first three months of the season. He averaged 13.4 points in 47 games during an injury-plagued rookie season last year.

SPURS: Forward Tim Duncan will be sidelined one to three weeks with a sprained left ankle sustained in Monday night's loss to Memphis. Also sidelined for Tuesday night's game against winless Miami was coach Gregg Popovich, who was suspended for one game for bumping a referee in the Memphis game.

TIMBERWOLVES: Center Kevin Garnett was fined $5,000 by the NBA for throwing a basketball into the stands during Monday night's loss to the Jazz. It occurred after he received a second technical foul and was ejected.
