Catching fish and relaxation

Nathan James, right, and his buddy, Trey Justison, both 14 and from Fruitland Park, spent a day off from school Monday fishing the Mud River north of Hernando Beach. Here, near the Salt Spring, which flows into the river, Trey netted a couple of mullet, and Nathan caught a mangrove snapper that eventually bit him. The boys were visiting for the day with Nathan's dad, Joe James, who has a getaway home on the river that he's owned for more than 20 years. Joe says he has caught everything from largemouth bass, a freshwater species, to redfish and jack, saltwater fish.
