THE SERIES: The season's only meeting. The Lightning trails 5-12-2-1.

THE LOWDOWN: The Oilers are 3-1-1 in their past four and 3-0-1 in their past four at home. The Lightning is 4-1-2 in the second of back-to-back games. Edmonton is 7-6-1-1 against the East. Lightning C Brad Richards has two goals and six points in four games against the Oilers. Entering Wednesday, Lightning RW Martin St. Louis led the league with five short-handed goals and seven short-handed points. His 13 goals since Dec. 18 also led the league. His 21 points were tied for the lead with Ottawa's Marian Hossa and Montreal's Mike Ribeiro. The Oilers had the league's worst power play at 10.8 percent. The Lightning has lost consecutive games in Edmonton, where it is 2-7-0. Tampa Bay hasn't won in Edmonton since December 1998. Lightning LW Chris Dingman is from Edmonton.
