2025 TRANSPORTATION PLAN: A public meeting will provide an update on Hillsborough County's long-range transportation plan and comprehensive plan. These are the overall laws governing where roads will be improved, where utilities will be extended and how land may be developed. Representatives from the county's Planning Commission will gather citizen input to identify community issues and concerns. Meetings will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Sickles High School, 7950 Gunn Highway, and Feb. 4 at the University Area Community Center, 14013 N 22nd Ave. Call 273-3774 ext. 318.

RIO VISTA DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS: Hillsborough County staff and engineers will hold a public meeting to discuss Rio Vista Phase III drainage improvements. The $120,000 project is expected to begin in early 2005 and be completed by mid 2005. Residents are encouraged to attend the 6:30 p.m. meeting Wednesday at Crestwood Elementary School, 7824 N Manhattan Ave. Call 272-5275.

CONGRESSMAN'S MOBILE OFFICE: Staff from U.S. Rep. Jim Davis' office will be available at the West Gate Regional Library, 7606 Paula Drive. COUNTY CALENDAR/ANNUAL REPORT: Hillsborough County's 2004 State of the County message, with the theme Change, Challenge and Opportunity, is contained in the county's 2004 calendar. County Administrator Pat Bean addresses how county government is meeting the demands and challenges posed by growth.
