Super Bowl I was televised by both CBS and NBC, and CBS's Pat Summerall served as a sideline reporter for both networks. For instance, if the Patriots were to cut ex-Bucs draft pick Marquise Walker, recently signed to a 2004 free-agent contract, it would cost them a whopping $5,600 against the cap, the NFL equivalent of us losing change in couch cushions.
$6-12, and the attendance was 61,946, meaning there were almost 40,000 empty seats in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
