American Cancer Society offers Look Good_Feel Better program

Largo Medical Center will be hosting a free two-hour program for women with cancer called Look Good_Feel Better. A professional cosmetologist will show women skin-care tips and make-up and hair-style techniques, including the use of wigs, scarves and turbans. The American Cancer Society program is designed for women whose cancer treatments have caused hair loss and changes in skin moisture and tone. Each participant will receive a free make-up kit valued at more than $100. The Look Good_Feel Better program will be held at 10 a.m. on Feb. 2 in the first floor classrooms at Largo Medical Center, 201 14th Street SW. The public service program is sponsored by the American Cancer Society and the National Cosmetology Association. Space is limited and reservations are required. For reservations, call Largo Medical Center's Health Care Referral Service, which is staffed 24 hours every day, at 588-5702.
