SUPER WITHOUT ...

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has won one Super Bowl and will start his second Sunday. It seems way too soon, but former 49ers coach Bill Walsh already has compared him to Joe Montana, winner of four Super Bowls. "He's as close to Joe as anyone I've ever seen," Walsh told the Boston Globe. Several news organizations have used the quote. Wait, did we just become part of The Machine? Ugh! We don't want that. Forget what we just said.

QUESTION OF THE DAY

Which team gained the fewest yards in a Super Bowl?

Answer below.

QUOTABLE

"People who live in Houston apparently love it. I visited once, and I would never go back there except under duress. You're going to have a lot of people staying 30 to 40 minutes outside the city. It could be a big nightmare."

pantherfreaks.com: We're thinking that pantherstalkers.com already was registered. Here, you can find original art portraits of players and message-board usernames such as "AfterDinnerMinter" and "Cat-ScratchFever." Because one photo would not be enough, there is a gallery of 33 from a Julius Peppers autograph signing at a grocery store. The Jake Delhomme photo montage wallpaper is downloadable in two sizes.

ANSWER

The Vikings gained 119 yards against the Steelers in Super Bowl IX.
