S.C. STATE 86, FAMU 62: Shawn Wiggins scored 24 and Brian Mason added 22 to lead host South Carolina State. Mason was 9-of-10 from the floor and Wiggins made 5 of 10 3s to lead the Bulldogs (9-8, 6-2 MEAC), who never trailed after leading 46-34 at halftime. Demarcus Wilkins led the Rattlers (6-11, 5-3) with 14 points.

NEW MEXICO STATE 73, FIU 42: Kelsey Crooks scored 18 to lead host New Mexico State, which led by as many as 35. The Aggies (8-9, 2-4 Sun Belt), who were playing with seven scholarship players and 10 total players, never trailed. Raphael DaSilva led the Golden Panthers (3-15, 0-6) with 15 points.

Women

VOLS BACK ON TOP: Tennessee (16-1) is No. 1 in the Associated Press Top 25, its first appearance atop the rankings in almost three years. The Vols last were No. 1 during the week of Feb. 26, 2001. The Vols moved up one to replace Duke (15-2) after beating the Blue Devils 72-69 Saturday. Vols coach Pat Summitt, 51, also signed an extension through the end of the 2007-08 season. But starting point guard Loree Moore will miss the rest of the season after tearing the ACL in her left knee against Duke. Moore averaged 7.9 points and 5.5 rebounds.
