Voyles' best game

Oct. 31, 2003 _ Hudson 56, Zephyrhills 34: East Pasco County's three-year, 52-game win streak over the west side came to an abrupt end in a homecoming rout at Cobra Stadium. Dressing 21 players, Hudson still ran for more than 400 yards. Nathan Toole and Tommy Snow had two touchdowns each, Travis Miller had one and all three ran for more than 100 yards. It was the most points in school history, the Cobras' first win over the Bulldogs in 11 years and the first time a west side team had beaten an east side foe since Ridgewood topped Wesley Chapel on Oct. 12, 2000. "We've waited a long time to beat an east side team," Voyles told the Times. "I'm really speechless."

Voyles' worst game

Sept. 8, 2000 _ Zephyrhills 72, Hudson 0: It was the most lopsided rout in county history. After losing starting quarterback Rob Mahler to a broken ankle the day before, injury-plagued Hudson fell behind 44-0 in the first half. The Bulldogs scored even when they didn't want to. Hudson couldn't get a successful punt off until the fourth quarter, continually turning the ball over and giving Zephyrhills a short field and easy scoring opportunities. Michael Moody tied a Bulldogs school record, running for five touchdowns. "I told them the Lord doesn't give you more than you can handle," Voyles told the Times. "We have to come back from this and keep on playing."
