Nichols plays Pago Pago trader Joe Horn, who owns the small, rundown hotel that is the setting for Rain, which continues through Sunday. It's based on Somerset Maugham's story of San Francisco prostitute Sadie Thompson, who is temporarily quarantined on a South Seas island with a manipulative missionary, his wife and others. The missionary is determined to convert Sadie and send her back to the states to face prison, but Sadie resists his efforts. Performances are at 8 p.m. today and Saturday, 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $15. Box office is open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Saturday and an hour before each show. Richey Suncoast is at 6237 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey. Call 842-6777.
