Andrei Kirilenko had 21 points, and Utah outrebounded host Memphis 44-26 to win its third straight. The Jazz took the lead in the second quarter and stayed ahead the rest of the night. Pau Gasol, the Grizzlies leading scorer and rebounder, was held to 10 points and two rebounds. The league fined Utah $15,000 for a skit that took place during a first-quarter timeout of Saturday's game against the Lakers. The Jazz's mascot held a phone conversation with a Karl Malone impersonator over the public address system. Malone, who missed the game with an injury, spent his first 18 seasons in Utah before signing with the Lakers this offseason. "I don't care if Stock (John Stockton) ain't there. I want to come home. But I guess it could be worse. I could be Ko--." The mock call abruptly ended with the thinly veiled reference to Kobe Bryant's pending sexual assault case. Jazz management sent a written apology to the Lakers organization, but Malone has not accepted it.

LAKERS: Kobe Bryant was placed on the injured list because of a severe cut on his right index finger that will sideline him for at least a week. The team said Bryant needed 9-10 stitches. He was injured Thursday when he accidentally put his hand through a glass window while trying to move some boxes in his garage.

WARRIORS: Forward Mike Dunleavy sprained his left ankle early in the third quarter against Chicago.
