THE SERIES: Fourth of six meetings. Atlanta leads the season series 2-0-0-1. Randy Robitaille, J.P. Vigier and Shawn McEachern each scored to lead Atlanta to a 3-1 win over Tampa Bay on Dec. 26 at Philips Arena.

NOTES: Tampa Bay has four consecutive wins and owns a nine-point lead over Atlanta in the Southeast Division with three games in hand. The Thrashers led the division by eight points after beating the Lightning on Dec. 26. They have gone 2-10-3-1 since. The Lightning is 11-4-2-1 since. Lightning all-star wing Martin St. Louis has an eight-game point streak after producing a goal and assist in a 5-1 win over Pittsburgh on Thursday. It is the longest active streak in the NHL. Atlanta activated center Marc Savard and defenseman Chris Tamer from injured reserve for Friday's 4-1 home loss to Toronto. At 21-24-6-2, Atlanta is five points behind the eighth-place New York Islanders for the final Eastern Conference playoff spot. Atlanta left wing Ilya Kovalchuk was third in goals (26) entering Friday, St. Louis was fifth (24). Gates open at 5:30 p.m. The first 5,000 fans receive a Vinny Lecavalier action figure.
