NOTES: After three straight Top 10 teams, North Carolina, Wake Forest and then top-ranked Duke on the road on Thursday night, the Seminoles get a reprieve. A big one. Savannah State, a Division I independent, has won once; it beat Eastern Kentucky 63-62 on Dec. 8. Since then, the Tigers have lost 16 straight, including on Thursday against lowly Maryland-Eastern Shore. The Tigers led that game 55-41 with 8:58 left, but were outscored 21-6 down the stretch. FSU's strength continues to be defense. It's giving up an average of 61.4 points on 39.1 percent shooting. Savannah State is averaging 57.7 points on 35.1 percent shooting. Can you say mismatch? FSU leads the series 2-0; it beat the Tigers 79-46 on Nov. 24, 2002.
