Activist Doris "Granny D" Haddock walked across the country when she was 90 years old to promote campaign reform. She left California on Jan. 1, 1999, and arrived in Washington, D.C., on Feb. 29, 2000. She will be in the Tampa Bay area this week to encourage eligible women to vote. Join her at noon Wednesday on the USF St. Petersburg waterfront or, in the event of rain, at Davis Hall. Call 553-4596.
