RUTGERS 76, NO. 17 MIAMI 69: Cappie Pondexter scored 25 and the Scarlet Knights handed the Hurricanes their second home loss in four days.

Miami, which lost 59-50 to Notre Dame on Wednesday, fell behind early and rarely led against Rutgers. Down at the half, Miami cut Rutgers' lead to 70-65 on a 3-pointer by Chanivia Broussard with 2:14 left, and appeared to force Shalicia Hurns into a shot clock violation on Rutgers' ensuing possession. However, no whistle was blown, and Rutgers took a 71-65 lead on a free throw by Pondexter with 41 seconds left.

HOUSTON 62, USF 57: The host Bulls (8-12, 1-7 C-USA) led for much of the first half but gave up a 20-7 run to open the second half. USF, which has lost six of seven, got within 56-51 with 2:39 left when Jessica Dickson made a running jumper, and trailed 59-57 with 19 seconds left. Houston made 3 of 4 free throws to secure the win.

BARRY 61, TAMPA 52: The visiting Spartans (8-12, 2-6 SSC) took their last lead at 48-47 on Vanessa Hubbard's two free throws with 7:41 left. The Bucs went on a 10-0 run and hung on. Shawtavia Mathis led Tampa with 14 points.

ROLLINS 68, ECKERD 54: The host Tritons, led by Jen Rittner's 18 points, dropped to 8-12, 3-5 SSC.

PALM BEACH ATLANTIC 65, CLEARWATER CHRISTIAN 52: Martelle Arnette scored a game-high 18 and had eight rebounds for visiting Clearwater Christian (10-15).
