Tashia Morehead scored 26 and Florida beat No. 24 Vanderbilt 92-83 Sunday, snapping the Commodores' 13-game home winning streak.
Bernice Mosby's basket gave Florida (15-5, 5-2 SEC) a 67-61 lead with 7:34 left. Vanderbilt (16-4, 4-3) tied it at 70 on two free throws by Carla Thomas with 5:10 left.
The Gators then went on a 10-1 run that was capped by two free throws by Danielle Santos with 2:21 left.
Vanessa Hayden had 22 points and 11 rebounds for Florida, while Mosby had 16 points and Santos 13. Jenni Benningfield scored 20 for Vanderbilt, while Thomas had 17.
NO. 10 NORTH CAROLINA 66, FSU 60: Camille Little scored a game-high 27 and went 11-for-12 at the line for the host Tar Heels. The Seminoles made all but two of their 24 field goals in the paint and were tied at 56 with 2:26 left. But they produced just one more field goal and missed their last seven shots. La'Tangela Atkinson had 10 for UNC (17-3, 7-2 ACC). Trinetta Moore had 20 for FSU (10-10, 3-6). Her backup, Lauren Bradley, had 12 as the Seminoles lost their fourth straight in the league.
NO. 4 UCONN: All-American Diana Taurasi (back) is expected to play against Tennessee Thursday. Taurasi was injured after blocking a shot in a win over St. John's Saturday. "I'm feeling all right," she said. "(It's) a little minor injury." Taurasi, last year's player of the year, leads the Huskies in scoring (17.4) and assists (4.4).
