HILLSBOROUGH OBITUARIES

ARANA, KARLA, of Tampa, died Wednesday (Jan. 28, 2004). She was Catholic. Survivors include her mother, Blanca Arana; a brother, Jose Arana; and a sister, Dezteni Arana. Gonzalez Funeral Home, Tampa.

BERGSTROM, ROY A., 80, of Tampa, died Wednesday (Jan. 28, 2004). Born in Providence, R.I., he was a Protestant. He was in the Navy from 1942 to 1948 and participated with Adm. Richard Byrd's second Antarctic expedition. He was a builder and contractor of custom homes and worked for the Portland School district in Connecticut. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Thelma Barrett; A sister Edith Hatfield, Cranston, R.I.; a daughter, Judith Caminiti, Tampa; a son, David Godwin, Middletown, Conn.; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Gonzalez Funeral Home, Tampa.

NEUGENT, PATRICK KENNY, 66, of Tampa, died Monday (Jan. 26, 2004). He came in here in 1973 from Syracuse, N.Y. and served in the Marines. He was a dispatcher for the Syracuse Yellow Cab Co. Survivors include three sons, Miles Neugent, Syracuse, Michael Neugent, Seattle, and Kevin Neugent, Atlanta; two brothers, Joseph Neugent, Baldwinsville, N.Y., and Basil Neugent, Nashville; and two sisters, Margaret Cardinal, DeWitt, N.Y., and Mada Burdick, Syracuse. Veterans Cremation and Burial Society, Clearwater.

SCHULZ, ROSALYN RISSLER, of Tampa, died Saturday (Jan. 3, 2004). She was a retired nurse. Survivors include her two children; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Gonzalez Funeral Home, Tampa.
