State officials say an escaped inmate was seen along Interstate 4 in Orlando on Sunday, two days after he is thought to have broken out of jail.

David Harden was determined to be missing from the Central Florida Reception Center during a routine head count Friday night, said state corrections department spokesman Sterling Ivey.

Harden has served 1{ years of a 15-year sentence for drug, burglary and forgery charges, Ivey said.

Officials believe Harden may be headed toward Brevard County, where he has friends and family.

Ivey said it's unknown how Harden escaped. There were no breaks in the facility's security fencing system, he said.
