KEY INJURIES: Montreal _ RW Andreas Dackell (knee, day to day); D Craig Rivet (foot, day to day); D Sheldon Souray (knee, out). Tampa Bay _ None.

THE LOWDOWN: The Globe and Mail reported Wednesday that Lightning RW Martin St. Louis and centers Brad Richards and Vinny Lecavalier are on a list of 54 players to be considered for Canada's World Cup team. D Pavel Kubina missed practice with a foot bruise but is expected to play. Souray, who leads all defensemen with 15 goals, was hurt with two minutes left in Tuesday's loss to the Panthers. The Lightning is 7-1-1-0 in its past nine games and 4-0-1-1 in its past six at home. The Canadiens are 4-2 in their past six and 5-3 in their past eight on the road. Tampa Bay's power play has converted 12 of its past 28 opportunities. Montreal leads the season series 2-1. Lightning LW Cory Stillman has two goals, 13 assists in his past 10 games. Lecavalier has five goals, eight assists in his past 11. Entering Wednesday, St. Louis was fifth in the league with 60 points. RW Michael Ryder led all rookies with 40 points and 25 assists.
