Gymnastics teams fare well at invitational

Three local teams recently competed in the Aloha Invitational.

The Gemini Gymnastics Level 6 squad finished first, with Amy Crumbley posting a victory in the vault competition, Destiny Ezell winning on vault and bars and in all-around, and Anna Yatskar taking first on bars and in all-around.

The organization's Level 5 team placed fifth. The club was led by Alexia Gonzalez, who recorded a win on the vault and was second in the floor exercise. Chelsea Ogle was the runner-up on the beam and floor. Emily Sayas was first in floor and second on bars and in all-around. Taylor McClure topped vault competitors and took second all-around. Hunter Zullo and Quincey Canham were vault runners-up, and Rachael Bianca was first on bars and floor and in all-around.

In Level 4, Gemini placed sixth.Allison Heller won vault and beam and was second all-around. Kayla Johnson was first on bars and in all-around. Heather McCourt was the vault runner-up.

Zoe Robinson recorded a floor victory and was second on vault.Fabienne Schmid was first on beam and second on vault and floor and in all-around action. Lauren Stemm was the runner-up on bars and floor and in all-around, and Lindsay Walker took first in vault, bars, floor and all-around competition.

LAFLEUR'S: In the Aloha Invitational/Judge's Cup, LaFleur's of Largo was sparked by Christine Miles-Scott. She finished first on the vault, beam and bars and in floor and all-around competition.

Brianna Rizzo was second on the beam, third in the floor exercise and fourth all-around. Emily Wachter posted a beam victory and took first all-around. Selma Lemezan was third on the vault and fifth all-around. Meghan Brannon was the runner-up on the bars. Jessica Maggio finished first on vault and third all-around. Kristina Murphy won the vault and took fourth all-around.

Carly Tidwell topped the beam competition and was second on the floor and in all-around. Maegan Carlson was second on vault and third on bars. Rebecca Wunderlich was the runner-up on bars and floor and all-around. Haley Stroud was first on beam and second on vault. Skye Reynolds placed fourth on beam, and Nikki Wiseman was first on vault and beam and second all-around.

For the club's Level 4 team, Shannon Hill was first on vault, bars and beam and in all-around action. Brittney Borresen was second on vault and fourth all-around. Megan Schell was runner-up on the bars, fourth on vault and fifth all-around.

Piper Palmgren logged victories on the vault and bars and a second in all-around. Brittany Hill was first on the bars and beam and second all-around. Alyssa Kearnet took second on beam, third on vault and bars and fourth all-around. Laura Meunier posted vault and bars victories and a third all-around. Zoe Boehme was first on vault, third on floor and fourth all-around. Tiffani Shirley was a beam and all-around winner.

TBT: For the Tampa Bay Turners in the Aloha Invitational, the Level 5 squad came in first.

Jeanna Cube claimed a victory on the bars and in all-around competition. Keri Linnemeyer was first on beam and second all-around. Taylor Salazar was a bars, beam, floor and all-around winner.

Therese Bryne was first on vault, floor and all-around. Christine Pheil had vault, floor, bars and all-around wins. Manise Hough was first on vault, bars and all-around. Sara Hill was a vault, bars, floor and all-around winner, and Bianca Rawson was first on vault, beam and floor and in all-around.

The Level 4 and 6 team's finished second.
