OBITUARIES

HOUNESTINE, ELMER RICHARD, 72, of Hernando, died Saturday (Sept. 18, 2004) in Ocala. Born in Jacksonville, Ohio, he came here in 1978 from Pataskala, Ohio. He was a forklift operator with 17 years of service for Kroger Warehouse and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed gun collecting and gun smithing, flea markets, and CB radio. Survivors include a son, Richard, Orient, Ohio; two daughters, Mary Hounestine, and Lavaughn Margraff, both of Westerville, Ohio; a sister, Kathryn Berger, Summerfield; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Hooper Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inverness.

OSLER, RUTH, 98, of Inverness, died Saturday (Sept. 18, 2004) at Citrus Health and Rehab Center in Inverness. Born in Trenton, N.J., she came here 26 years ago from Mount Dora. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Inverness. Survivors include two sons, Ronald, Cocoa Beach, and James, Inverness; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home.
