Ranger, a 3-month-old shepherd mix, was found at a dump site. Ranger is paper and crate trained. He loves children and other dogs and would be a true companion. Inquiries about adopting Ranger and other dogs and cats may be made at the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Hernando County, 9075 Grant St., west of Brooksville. The shelter is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Adoption fees include rabies shot, heartworm testing, worming and spaying/neutering. Fees for cats also include testing for feline leukemia and AIDS.
