HIGH FIVE FOR SCHOOL PRIDE

Fourth-grader Khyesha Brooks reaches out Monday to touch the paw of a concrete cub, part of a 3,000-pound sculpture of a family of black bears in front of Crystal River Primary School. The school, which recently replaced mascot Kissifur the Teddy Bear with the endangered animal, unveiled the work by T.J. Neil of Homosassa during a short ceremony Monday for grades 3-5.
