The YWCA of Tampa Bay is accepting nominees for the Virginia H. Lazzara Service Award. Lazzara was a driving force behind the opening of the YWCA's emergency shelter for homeless families as well as a member of the organization's board of directors. The Virginia H. Lazzara Housing Program at the YWCA/USF Family Village is named in her honor. A 150-word essay describing the nominee's dedication to enriching the community and making a better life for those in need of assistance is required. The deadline is Oct. 15.
