Charles Jacobson pulls his boat through the Withlacoochee River as he prepares to paddle home down Polaris Road in Ridge Manor on Tuesday. Jacobson says his home sustained minor flood damage and his driveway is submerged. "I don't know how deep it is, but it's over my head. I'll tell you that much." Jacobson and his wife, Clemmie, now park their cars on higher ground. They also installed a temporary mailbox at the end of Polaris Road while they wait for the floodwaters to recede. The Withlacoochee River is expected to remain above flood stage at Trilby and Croom at least through the weekend, according to Reggina Cabrera Garza of the Southeast River Forecast Center in Peachtree, Ga. Late Tuesday morning, the river was at 15.3 feet and experiencing moderate flooding at Trilby.
