SUKKOT FESTIVAL: The fourth annual Sukkot Festival (Feast of Tabernacles) will be held at Lowry Park band shell, 1101 W Sligh Ave. The free family festival, celebrating the final fall feast of the Jewish calendar, is sponsored by Shoresh David Messianic Synagogue. A sukka will be built which represents the shelter God gave the Israelites in the wilderness after their escape from slavery in Egypt. Jewish and non-Jewish people are invited to worship the Lord in unity. The Torah Service will begin at 11 a.m. Oct. 2. Other highlights include Israeli dance instruction, arts and crafts for the kids, Middle Eastern food and an Israeli marketplace.
