Gov. Jeb Bush said Friday he has been spending most of his time on hurricanes, and the weather crisis has kept him from delving into another problem in the Tampa area: the collapse of an elevated highway being built above the Lee Roy Selmon Crosstown Expressway.
"I want to find out what is going on with the Crosstown Expressway. I haven't been able to do it. I had to cancel two meetings. I promise you Tuesday, unless there is another storm, we'll have a meeting on that," he said. "I readily admit the storms are our first priority."
