Marvin Burroughs and Terry Butler scored touchdowns and Villanova held on to beat Penn 16-13 and end its 17-game winning streak, the longest in Division I-AA. The Quakers' last loss also was to Villanova on Oct. 10, 2002.
Down 16-0 midway through the fourth, Pat McDermott hit Dan Castles with a 13-yard touchdown. Penn then moved 80 yards in three plays, capped by Castles' 29-yard catch, to make it 16-13. But the Wildcats recovered the onside kick.
