State and local officials blamed Hurricane Jeanne for six deaths:
+ A 60-year-old man was found dead Sunday after consuming a large amount of alcohol during a hurricane party, officials said. The man was found lying in water after the house had flooded, said Gary Harrell, a homicide investigator with the Brevard County Sheriff's Office. Harrell said the cause of death might be alcohol-related, or the man might have drowned in the water in the house.
+ A man was found dead Sunday in a ditch in Palm Bay after the hurricane. The man apparently drowned after driving his pickup into the ditch, said Barney Weiss, public information officer for Palm Bay Police Department.
+ A Boynton Beach couple apparently drowned Saturday night when the driver lost control of a sport utility vehicle and plunged into a 40-foot-deep canal in Deerfield Beach, said Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Lt. Pat Santangelo. State troopers recovered the submerged 2002 Nissan Pathfinder Sunday morning.
+ A 15-year-old Orange Park boy was pinned by a falling tree Sunday and died at the scene, county officials said.
+ A man was electrocuted in Miami after touching a downed power line at a bus stop Sunday morning, police said.
