Taz is a sweet Weimaraner-Labrador retriever mix with a black and tan coat. Although she is about 9 years old, she is quite playful and energetic. Taz gets along well with other dogs and cats and is housebroken. The adoption fee for Taz has been reduced to $50 to help her find a good home and a family of her own. Inquiries about adopting Taz or other dogs and cats can be made at the Humane Society of Hernando County shelter at Wiscon and Mobley roads, Brooksville. The shelter is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and noon to 3 p.m. Sundays. The shelter is run strictly on donations; no government subsidies are provided. There is a $65 adoption fee to cover the cost of some shots, spaying/neutering and deworming.
