Police have arrested a man on charges he picked up his 1-year-old daughter and swung the child at his live-in girlfriend, using the girl's feet as a weapon. Antonio M. Villani, 21, was arrested last week on charges of child abuse, aggravated assault and domestic battery. He was released from the Pinellas County Jail on his own recognizance Friday. According to police, Villani began arguing with his girlfriend the morning of Sept. 21 because she would not get out of bed. He then squeezed a tube of toothpaste and hand lotion into her hair, then punched the woman in the stomach and threw her onto the bed, reports state. Then he swung the child, whose feet hit the woman, who is the girl's mother. When the woman tried to call police, Villani raised a ballpoint pen at her as if he was going to stab her, reports state.
