Downtown gets the Saturday Morning Market back this Saturday.
It will return to its outdoor location on Central Avenue between First and Second streets and have 62 vendors, according to Gail Eggeman, one of the organizers.
"We are getting three different vendors who have organic vegetables. That is something we have wanted all along," she said.
Vendors also offer fresh breads, desserts, quiche, artwork, pottery, jewelry, orchids and other plants, textiles and clothing.
Some items are as practical as a mouse pad. Entertainment, usually musical, is there every week. Mayor Rick Baker has been known to perform there.
The market started slowly two years ago but seemed to take off last year as the number of vendors jumped. Each year it has stopped in May with the arrival of summer heat.
Eggeman said market organizers created an advisory committee to get new ideas for what types of vendors are needed.
They also are looking at ways to squeeze in more vendors.
