BOOK READING: The University of Tampa's English and Writing Department presents a reading by fiction writer Samrat Upadhyay at 8 p.m. Thursday. The free reading is at the Reeves Theater, second floor, Vaughn Center on the UT campus. Upadhyay is the first Nepalese novelist writing in English to be published in the West. His novel, The Guru of Love, was named a New York Times Notable Book of the Year 2003 as well as a finalist for the 2004 Kiriyama Prize.
