(ran North, South editions)

Aloha Utilities might be ordered to refund $276,000 to its Pasco customers under action by the Public Service Commission, state Sen. Mike Fasano's office said Tuesday.

The PSC's staff recommended Tuesday that the money, being held in an escrow account, be refunded. The commission is scheduled to vote Tuesday. The money was collected by Aloha as part of an interim rate increased approved in November 2001. The permanent increase was denied by the PSC.
