Controversial filmmaker Michael Moore will speak at the University of South Florida on Sunday as part of his 60-city "Slacker Uprising Tour," which is designed to mobilize college students to support Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry.
The tour began last week and is scheduled to hit campuses in 20 battleground states. Other Florida stops include Florida State University and the University of Florida.
Doors at the Sun Dome open at 10:30 a.m. Moore's talk begins at noon.
Tickets are $5 and are available at the Sun Dome or through Ticketmaster. Seating is first come, first served. The Sun Dome holds about 8,000 people and, if Moore's other tour stops are any indication, will be sold out.
Most of the proceeds will go to the event organizers, the USF College Democrats.
Moore directed the controversial and award-winning documentary Fahrenheit 9/11 and is set to release a book next month called Will They Ever Trust Us Again? Letters from the War Zone.
