Monday is the deadline for registering to vote in the Nov. 2 general election. Registration forms are available at the Supervisor of Elections Office, public libraries, driver's license offices, government offices, post offices and area banks. Requests for absentee ballots also are available. Voters will receive the ballots approximately two weeks before the election. Absentee ballots cannot be forwarded, so voters who will not be at their Citrus County address need to complete the "mail ballot to" portion of the form with the address to which the ballot needs to be mailed. Voters can register online and request absentee ballots at www.votecitrus.com. Early voting will be allowed between Oct. 18 and Nov. 1 at locations in Inverness, Beverly Hills and Crystal River. For information, call the elections office at 341-6740.
