OBITUARIES

FELICE, JAMES C., 82, of Lecanto, died Tuesday (Sept. 28, 2004) in Lecanto under the care of Hospice of Citrus County. He was born in Greenville, Mich., and came here more than 10 years ago from West Branch, Mich. He was a veteran of World War II, served in the Normandy campaign and was a life member of the Disabled Veterans Association. He was Catholic. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Johnnie; a daughter, Barbara Swatz, Davisburg, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Lois Halpin, West Branch, Mich.; a brother, Charles, Waterford, Mich.; a sister, Ada Hurd, Ocala; numerous nieces and nephews; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. HOFFMAN, RALPH, 67, of Inverness, died Tuesday (Sept. 28, 2004) in Inverness. He was born in Loves Park, Ill., and came to Inverness in 1986. He was an Army veteran (1954-1957). He owned Hoffman's Auto Repair and Tractor Supply in Rock Island, Ill. He was a founder and past president of the International Harvester Club and member of Florida Flywheelers Club, both of Florida. Survivors include two sons, Matthew, Minneapolis, and Benjamin, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two daughters, Paula and Lori Hoffman, both of Veloit, Wis.; a sister, Olive Hoffman, Sun City, Calif.; and his companion, Rhonda Puckett, Inverness. JOHNSON, DELORIS L.H., 82, of Floral City, died Monday (Aug. 16, 2004) in Floral City. There are no known survivors. Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness.

MEDERER, WILLIBALD "WILLIE," 63, of Inverness, died Wednesday (Sept. 29, 2004) in Inverness. He was born in Germany and came here 25 years ago from Perth Amboy, N.J. He was a building contractor who specialized in drywall and stone work. He was a member of the Sertoma, Moose Lodge 2112, Eagles Aerie 4272, Elks Lodge 2522 and the Citrus County Builders Association. He was Catholic. Survivors include a son, Brandon, a daughter, Andrea Mederer, and a brother, George, all of Inverness; and seven grandchildren. Hooper Funeral Homes, Inverness.

STEBBINS, ALICE E., 84, of Beverly Hills, died Monday (Sept. 27, 2004) in Crystal River. She was born in Blenheim, Ontario, and came here in 1983 from Kalamazoo, Mich. She was a clerk for JCPenney. She was Baptist. Survivors include two brothers, Lloyd Pardo, Sarnia, Ontario, and Glen Pardo, Kingston, Ontario; a niece and a nephew. Hooper Funeral Homes, Beverly Hills.

WILDER, MARY T., 76, of Crystal River, died Monday (Sept. 27, 2004) in Hernando under the care of Hospice of Citrus County. She was born in Cudahy, Wis., and came to Florida 33 years ago. She recently moved here from Silver Springs and was a member of the Eagles Aerie. She was Catholic. Survivors include two daughters, Susan DiBello, Mashpee, Mass., and Robin Teresa Vanslette, Crystal River; three sons, David Lee, Las Vegas, Mark Kendall, Silver Springs, and Bret Alan Wilder, Barker, Texas; three brothers, Joseph, Tony and Frank Brhel, and two sisters, Cecilia Holy and Annie Brhel, all of Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
