Association offers support to former military officers

The Tampa Bay area has approximately 2,500 retired military officers and many former officers who served but did not have enough active duty time to retire from their respective services.

There are many issues of national legislative importance that have affected them in the past and will undoubtedly affect them in the future, such as health care, tax reductions and Tricare, to name a few.

Presently, there is important legislation pending in the areas of base closures, pay, commissary privileges, health care and the future general welfare of officers' dependents. All these matters are important and generally supported by military families.

Help ensure this support by joining the Military Officers Association of America, formerly known as TROA, now called MOAA. Call retired Air Force Col. William E. Eisenhart at 526-5088 for information.
