BAILEY, EFFIE "POLLY," 74, of Tampa, died Tuesday (Dec. 28, 2004). Born in Jackson County, W.Va., she lived in Cincinnati before moving to the area. She was a member of Forest Hills Christian Church. Survivors include two sons, David and Greg; a daughter, Karen Lynch; a sister, Margaret "Jenny" Anderson; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. The funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Forest Hills Christian Church with entombment afterward at Sunset Memory Gardens. Gonzalez Funeral Home, Tampa.

COMBS, WILLIAM H. "BILL," 72, of St. Petersburg, formerly of Tampa, died Friday (Dec. 31, 2004) at Bay Pines VA Medical Center. He was born in Marion, Va., and moved to St. Petersburg 35 years ago from Tampa. He retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Bay Pines and was an Air Force officer and veteran of the Korean War. He was a past post commander of the American Legion 125 and a committeeman for the Department of Florida Executive Committee. Survivors include his wife, Laura M., Tampa; a daughter, Terry, Brandon; two stepdaughters, Lisa Kitzmiller, Mulberry, and Terrie Juncal, Valrico; two stepsons, Jimmy Rogers, Plant City, and Bryan Rogers, Tampa; two brothers, Ed Combs, Gainesville, and James Combs, Roanoke, Va.; a sister, Margaret Combes, Marion, Va.; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. FOX, JERALDINE, 95, of Tampa, died Tuesday (Dec. 28, 2004) at South Tampa Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Jackson, Mich., she moved to Tampa in 1984. She was a homemaker and member of the Unity Church. Survivors include two stepsons, Roy, Pinehurst, N.C., and John, McMurry, Pa.; a stepdaughter, Barbara Frans; and six step-grandchildren. HONEYCUTT, JAMES F., JR., 68, of Tampa, died Wednesday (Dec. 29, 2004) at home. He moved to Tampa in 1962 from his native Salisbury, N.C. He served in the Army and was a lather in the construction industry. Survivors include his wife, Mary Thompson Honeycutt; a son, James F. Honeycutt, III, of Zephyrhills; two daughters, Teresa Barnes and Patricia Honeycutt, both of Tampa; and four grandchildren. Veterans Cremation & Burial Society, Clearwater.

MCFADDEN, BARBARA M., 70, of Tampa, died Friday (Dec. 31, 2004) at home under the care of hospice. She was born in Raceland, Ky., and moved here 44 years ago. She was a social worker. Survivors include her husband, Virgil; two sons, Otto and Jack Duerk, both of Tampa; a daughter, Jill Lascola, of Tampa; a brother, Bob C. McCoy, Raceland; two sisters, Ruth Clephane, Wilder, Ky., and Judy Tackett, of Tampa; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Abbey Affordable Cremation & Funeral Services, Largo.

MCGOWAN, IRENE KEYS, 91, of Clearwater, died Friday (Dec. 31, 2004) at Sunset Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Plant City, she grew up in St. Petersburg and Clearwater. She worked for RR Donnelley and Sons in Chicago for 32 years as a production coordinator. She returned to Clearwater in 1978. She was a member of Tenth Street Church of God. Survivors include a son, Rudolph Thomas, Cleveland; a brother, James Henry Keys, Jr., Lake Mary; a sister, Mae Ollie Smith, Palm Harbor; a granddaughter, Tyree Thomas Wakefield, Madison, Wis.; three great-granddaughters; a great-great-granddaughter; and nieces and nephews.
