RIKARTS, ROLANDS, 82, of Treasure Island, died Tuesday (Dec. 28, 2004) at home. Born in Riga, Latvia, on Dec. 9, 1922, he immigrated to the United States in 1958 and lived in New York and Chicago before he came here in 1970. Attending engineering school when World War II broke out, he was a prisoner of war of Nazi concentration camps. After the war, he worked for the U.S. Army in Germany. He was a specialized mechanic and owned a service station. He retired as manager of two condominium complexes. Survivors include his wife, Renate; and a son, Andrew, St. Petersburg and Fairfax, Va..
