Myrtle Avenue will be closed to through traffic north of downtown Clearwater from Drew to Palmetto Street. Southbound local traffic will be able to travel Myrtle Avenue until Seminole Street. Northbound local traffic will be able to travel Myrtle Avenue until Hart Street. This detour will last until Jan. 24 while a full depth rubberized crossing is installed at the railroad track. Through traffic should use Fort Harrison Avenue as an alternate route. The road work is a supplement to the Myrtle Avenue reconstruction project, at a cost of $250,000. For information, call 562-4750.
